Trainer Gordon Elliott does not expect star chaser Jessies Dream to make his seasonal debut until late December.
The eight-year-old, owned by David Johnson, was a top-notch novice over fences last term winning the Drinmore Novice Chase and going down by only a neck to Bostons Angel in the RSA Chase at the Cheltenham Festival.
However, Elliott will not rush him back into action and has yet to plot a campaign for his stable star.
"He's doing good but you probably won't see him until Christmas. He came in a bit later than the rest of them," said the County Meath handler.
"I'm not sure what we'll be doing with him this season. We've got a couple of different roads we'll be looking at. He's done well over the summer."
