GUEST PRIMED FOR MIDDLE TEST

George Margarson is hopeful Rebellious Guest can prove up to the task when he takes a huge step up to Group One company at Newmarket this weekend.

Although he has impressed twice at Windsor, he was well beaten on his only start at Pattern level in the Coventry Stakes at Royal Ascot.

But Margarson feels his juvenile is a different animal now and while he holds entries in both the Emaar Middle Park Stakes and the Dubai Dewhurst Stakes on Saturday, the former is currently favoured.

"At the moment I'm leaning towards the Middle Park as he's shown plenty of speed, but we'll just see what the weather does," said Margarson.

"He won really well on his debut at Windsor and although he was very disappointing at Royal Ascot, he was up there far too soon and we know a lot more about him now.

"We gave him time off after that to grow and he has grown up a lot, as he showed when winning again at Windsor last time.

"He's a horse with a massive turn of foot and Tom Queally really likes him.

"We talked about maybe going for something at a lower grade, but myself and Tom both think he's a Group horse and I don't think you could get Tom off him this weekend with a chisel!

"I hope he'll be a horse for next year and we'll see how he goes on Saturday. I'm sure it will be lovely ground, but I wouldn't mind a shower."
