POWER TOPS DEWHURST NINE v

Aidan O'Brien's Power, the mount of Ryan Moore, will face eight rivals in Saturday's Dubai Dewhurst Stakes at Newmarket.

Amongst his opponents are the unbeaten duo of Roger Varian's Ektihaam and also Bronterre, with the latter set to be joined by the fellow Richard Hannon-trained Trumpet Major.

Joining Power in the Irish challenge will be Jim Bolger's Parish Hall, whilst John Quinn's Red Duke will be a sole challenger from northern England.

Mick Channon's Factory Time, Brian Meehan's Most Improved and Andrew Balding's Spiritual Star complete the field.

Notable absentees include Fencing, Daddy Long Legs and David Livingston.
