NAHRAIN PLAN UNDECIDED

Future plans remain up in the air for Nahrain after she defended her unbeaten record in the Prix de l'Opera at Longchamp on Sunday.

The three-year-old made it four wins from as many starts in the mile-and-a-half contest and gave trainer Roger Varian his first Group One victory in his first season with a licence.

Varian is unsure whether the filly will race again this season but given she is owned by Sheikh Mohammed's brother Sheikh Ahmed Al Maktoum, there is a chance she could join the Godolphin team.

"She's come out of it great and we were obviously delighted with her performance on the day," said Varian.

"She is still an inexperienced filly and I think she has done tremendously well to go there and win.

"I'm not sure what the plans are with her now. I will have to talk to connections and we'll go from there.

"All I can say at the moment is she's come out of the race really well."
