PRINCE POSSIBLE FOR FLAT SPIN

Cheltenham Festival winner Noble Prince could run in the Listed Go Racing In Kildare Finale Stakes at the Curragh on Sunday.

Paul Nolan's crack chaser could use the race in preparation for his first run back over fences at Naas.

Having won the inaugural running of the Jewson Novices' Chase at the Festival, the Ryanair Chase would look a logical target this season but Nolan would like to step him up in trip at some stage.

"There's a possibility Noble Prince could run at the Curragh on Sunday and then go to Naas for a race for second-season novices over two miles," said Nolan.

"Hopefully the run on the Flat should set him up nicely for that and it looks a nice place to start him off.

"If all goes well, he could run on Sunday and then at Naas. They are calling the ground soft at the Curragh but that would be yielding jumping ground which will be fine.

"There's no doubt that he was a stayer on the Flat. Ideally two and a half miles looks to be his trip so you'd be looking at the Ryanair but on better ground I'd certainly like to up him in trip.

"If we are going to up him in trip it will be on better ground, not on winter heavy ground over here (Ireland).

"There's a very competitive bunch of novices coming up to take on the older guard this year.

"When you look at the likes of Jessies Dream, Bostons Angel and Quito De La Roque, there's some very nice staying types that could be hard to beat over the longer trips so hopefully we'll stay over the shorter ones and then up it as the ground gets better."
