BATED BREATH TEAM ON WEATHER WATCH

Roger Charlton reports Bated Breath to be on course for Friday's Coolmore Nunthorpe Stakes at York - if ground conditions are suitable.

The four-year-old suffered a bruised foot last week, which threatened to scupper his participation on the Knavesmire.

But he pleased his trainer when stretching his legs on Tuesday morning and he will take his chance in the five-furlong Group One as long as the rain does not persist.

"He cantered this morning and I'm happy enough with his condition, but the rain is a worry," said Charlton.

"He missed three days work last week, but I'm happy with him at the moment and think he'll run if the ground is right. That is now the concern."
