HARVARD N YALE TEACHES RIVALS A LESSON

Harvard N Yale made all the running to land the Sunspot Amusements, Southend E.B.F. Maiden Stakes.

Jeremy Noseda's colt was sent off the 8/15 favourite following a promising debut at Newbury and wasn't hard pressed to see off his rivals.

Richard Hannon's Endowing belied odds of 50/1 to finish second under Pat Cosgrave, whilst Sir Michael Stoute's Gospel Choir (7/1) filled third.

The race was won last year by subsequent 2000 Guineas hero Frankel.
