My Propeller is to tackle five furlongs for the first time in Saturday's Julia Graves Roses Stakes at York.
The filly, who is owned by Newcastle footballer Joey Barton and trained by Peter Chapple-Hyam, has only raced at six furlongs in her three races so far.
The high point of her career was winning a maiden at Pontefract by 17 lengths while she blasted out of the stalls in last month's Cherry Hinton Stakes at Newmarket before she folded rapidly in the final furlong.
"We're going to try her over five in the Roses Stakes," revealed Chapple-Hyam.
"At the moment we think the best thing to do is drop her back in trip and we'll find out at the weekend."
