Galikova gets her chance for revenge on Golden Lilac in tomorrow's Prix Guillaume D'Ornano at Deauville.
Freddie Head's Galikova, a half-sister to her mighty stablemate Goldikova, chased home Andre Fabre's unbeaten Golden Lilac in the Prix De Diane with a few spectators thinking she was unlucky.
Both fillies take on colts for the first time in the Group Two, with John Gosden sending over Colombian and German Derby winner Waldpark in the field.
"Whether she can turn the tables on Golden Lilac is the big question," said Pierre-Yves Bureau, racing manager to Galikova's owners, the Wertheimer brothers.
"Golden Lilac is a very good filly, she's won the Guineas and the French Oaks very easy but Galikova keeps improving so we hope she can win.
"We think the trip is fine for her, it will be a different pace tomorrow so that won't be a problem.
"It's going to be a very nice race. Everybody is talking about the fillies but it is the first time either of them have run against the colts.
"The German horse (Waldpark) looks very good so it's going to be very interesting.
"If she runs runs well tomorrow we would maybe try to go to the Vermeille but we need to see how she runs first."
Dunboyne Express makes a quick reappearance after taking second place behind the ultra-consistent filly Banimpire in the Royal Whip Stakes at the Curragh.
The three-year-old colt, trained by Kevin Prendergast, has recovered from those exertions and coupled with the prospect of his favoured soft ground, will take his chance.
"He came out of the race well and the run did him good, so hopefully he'll get over the travelling and run a big race," said the County Kildare trainer.
"The ground has been soft in Deauville, I believe, which will suit him."
