MY KINGDOM FOR A HORSE

MY KINGDOM will have his first start for Pat Morris in the Newbury 1400 and he looks a dangerously well-handicapped horse.

The son of King's Best won off a 3lb higher mark in September 2010 and he has had valid excuses for his recent defeats, finding a mile at Chester against him after being set too much to do at Pontefract on his previous start.

His victories have come on unique tracks (Brighton, Goodwood and Chester) however he has run well on more conventional courses before, and this is the time of year that he comes good.

Four of his five career victories have come in August and September, and good, or slightly softer ground, will play to his strengths.

EXCELEBRATION looks the class act in the CGA Hungerford Stakes at 1540 and Marco Botti's three-year-old can take top billing.

His form behind Frankel, both in the Greenham and most recently in the St James's Palace (where Dubawi Gold was miles back), looks stronger than his rivals can boast and his German Guineas romp in-between those efforts proves that he hasn't forgotten how to win.

All ground seems to come alike to him and the son of Exceed And Excel is a confident selection.

SUNSHINE ALWAYS is worth backing each way in the Sky Bet Grey Horse Handicap over at Newmarket at 1445.

The race has a history of going to hold-up horses and Michael Attwater's charge is likely to come from off the pace.

The son of Verglas is proven over a longer trip and although he is yet to win in nine starts on the turf, he can certainly feature here, with soft ground not an issue should rain hit HQ.

His mark of 69 looks feasible, and it would be no surprise were he to record a first victory since September 2009, and a first since leaving the care of William Haggas.
