Dorcas Lane could return to Deauville in search of handsome compensation following a recent narrow defeat in France.
Lucy Wadham is looking at the Group Two Prix de la Nonette on August 23 for the three-year-old filly, who was only beaten a head and a nose into third place over the same mile-and-a-quarter course on July 30.
"We might take her back to Deauville later this month for a Group Two over 10 furlongs," said the Newmarket trainer.
"It was a great run there, but those French races always seem to finish in a heap.
"It was extraordinary - there were about six horses within about two lengths of each other. We were thrilled with the run, but it was frustrating to be beaten by such a short margin.
"We're thinking along those lines at the moment."
Meanwhile, a trip to Ireland may be on the cards for stablemate Crystal Gal after she lifted a Listed race at Haydock on Saturday.
The Group Three Dance Design Stakes at the Curragh on August 28 is a possible target, although Wadham is in no hurry to firm up plans.
"She came out of it really well. We have no definite plans. She is in a Group Three at the Curragh at the end of the month," she added.
"We'll just have a think about it."
